2024 Disneyland Holiday Sip & Savor Pass: A Must-Try for Foodies!

As the holiday season takes over Disneyland California and Disney California Adventure Park, the magic of this festive time comes alive with twinkling lights, enchanting decorations, and of course, delicious food. This year, I had the privilege of previewing the highly anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride and indulging in the park’s annual Sip and Savor Pass. Let me walk you through why this foodie tradition is a must try for park goers this holiday season.

What Is the Sip and Savor Pass?

Running from November 15 through January 6, the Sip and Savor Pass is a yearly favorite for Disneyland visitors. It offers a chance to explore festive food and nonalcoholic drinks across Disney California Adventure Park at a discount. With options for either four or eight items, the pass lets you enjoy seasonal specialties without breaking the bank. For $46, the eight-item pass is a steal, considering most menu items typically cost $7–$8 each.

Important Note: While alcoholic beverages aren’t included, they’re still worth checking out if you’re in the mood to treat yourself.

What I Tried (and Loved)

I didn’t get to sample everything, but the dishes and drinks I did try were absolute hits. Here are the standouts:

Brews and Bites

  • Passionfruit Rose Lassi: This was one of my favorites! A refreshing twist on the classic mango lassi, the passionfruit and rose flavors made it the perfect midday cooler. Light, floral, and not overly sweet, it’s ideal for warmer afternoons at the park.
  • Chicken Chicharrón: Though I didn’t get to sample it myself, the tantalizing aroma made it clear this dish is a must-try.

A Twist on Tradition

  • BBQ Pulled Pork and Bacon & Turkey Croissant Muffin Slider: Both of these bites gave a fresh, festive spin to Thanksgiving-inspired flavors. Not only were they tasty, but the adorable presentation made them easy to eat while wandering the park.

Holiday Duets

  • Savory Kugel Mac & Cheese: A rich, cheesy delight with just the right balance of savory flavors—my personal favorite of the mac options.
  • Chorizo Queso Fundido Mac & Cheese: If you’re looking for something with a bold, spicy kick, this one’s for you. Bonus: You can get a half-and-half serving if you want to try both!

Favorite Things

  • Mickey Mouse Sticky Toffee Macaroon: I couldn’t get enough of this dessert! Light, sweet, and just indulgent enough, I found myself going back for thirds.
  • Braised Pork Adobo: Though I skipped it (not a big pork fan), this dish was a crowd favorite.
  • Spiced Coconut Cocktail with Dark Rum: For those looking to end the evening on a warm note, this drink is perfection as the sun sets and the festive lights come on.

Grandma’s Recipes

  • Café de Olla Cold Brew: This Mexican-inspired cold brew was a lifesaver for my early start. Infused with cinnamon and spices, it had a comforting holiday flavor and a much-needed caffeine boost.
  • Cookie Dough Yule Log: A hit with the kids, this sugary dessert is a must-try—though it’s sweet enough to share.
  • Barbacoa Tamal de Res: A hearty, savory option that rounds out the menu at this booth.

Merry Mashup

  • M&M’s Peanut Butter Fudge Cake: A chocolate-and-peanut-butter lover’s dream! Rich, fudgy, and topped with whipped cream, this dessert is decadent and perfect for sharing.
  • Holiday Mash Bowl: A classic combo of chicken, gravy, and potatoes. While simple, it’s a comforting option, especially for little ones.

What I Missed (and Can’t Wait to Try)

Unfortunately, the preview event only featured about half of the available dishes. One item that caught my eye was the Korean Fried Chicken Sliders, Beef Brisket Slider, and Al Pastor Pork & Pineapple Slider, which weren’t ready during my visit but launched with the official start of the Sip and Savor Pass. They’re at the top of my list for next time!

For a full list of offerings, check the Disney California Adventure website, you’re bound to find something that suits your taste.

Is the Sip and Savor Pass Worth It?

Absolutely! Whether you’re a foodie or just looking to sample a variety of treats, the pass offers excellent value. The best part? You don’t need to use all your tabs in one day, the pass is valid throughout the event dates, making it perfect for frequent park goers.

Sharing items with friends and family makes the experience even more festive, and the variety ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Disneyland during the holidays is magical on its own, but the Sip and Savor Pass adds a delicious layer of excitement. I can’t wait to hear what everyone else discovers on their foodie adventures. And as for me? I’ll be back for those Korean Fried Chicken Sliders before the season ends.

Happy eating, and enjoy the most magical season of the year at Disneyland!
